Location Recording Rig

This 24-track recording rig is a “studio in a cart”. If you have a quiet space, Michael can show up and make a record. It comes with a good assortment of high-quality microphones and clean preamps/conversion for professional results. The rig is designed for concert recording, home studio sessions, audition tapes, podcasts, live-streaming, and much more. The location rig combined with Michael’s jazz specialization is particularly suited for live jazz recordings.

  • 2x Metric Halo ULN-8 Mark IV Preamps/Converters (16 channels)

  • Mackie 800R 8 channel preamp

  • Cymatic Audio U-Track 24 (backup recorder)

  • 8 individual headphone mixes

  • ADAT and MADI slots for integrating other gear (such as live mixers)
